Commissioned Painting No.2: Bread Bag
oil on canvas
30'' x 30"
Here is the second of five commissioned paintings for the Printpack Corporation. Number three may be the strawberry bag. I'm sort of on a roll with the plastic wrap, and was thinking it would be a good idea to use that momentum, and continue with that theme. The response to the study on ebay was encouraging, but I am torn because of the fact that I'm really itching to paint the coffee bag, and hershey bar.
In the mean time I've been working on a new group of ebay paintings for next week. At the moment I have two underpaintings done, and three drawings. It feels like a good group. The first of these will show up on ebay monday night at nine. Anyone interested in bidding on any of my current offerings can access my listings page by clicking here.

Wowzers. What an amazing piece!
YOWZER Neil, This ROCKS!!!!!
Neil, this is really an amazing image.
I was looking for something to use as an image on an article I recently did on the history of bread in the 20th century, for my blog on food and cooking at, kitchenbabble.wordpress .com. There were a gazillion images I could choose from, but your painting just said it all! So I was a little cheeky, and used it as an image for the article...
If you want me to remove the image, I will , but having said that, an image like this really should be out there and seen! (my blog only receives a measly 10 hits a day.... )
Please let me know if you are ok with it featuring on my blog...
regards
pierre
