6 x 6 oil on hardboard panel
Before I tackle the "big cow", I wanted to get in another week of ebay paintings. I've got five going up this week, and I was thinking of doing another theme. I have a lot of metal in this weeks selections, but in the end I wound up throwing in a painting a bowl of pool balls, which pretty much put an end to that idea.
Yesterday I toned the canvas for the cow, with it's dimensions of 48 x 60. To put it mildly, I'm freaking out! This will be, by far, the largest painting I've ever done. If I can actually pull it off. No reflections with this one, just a whole lot of fur. Do cows have fur, or is it referred to as hair? Anyway, I'll keep you all posted on it's progress.

But this Silver plate is cool, with all the reflections and the make of the product..
Question - for smaller paintings, it is better to scan the painting or take a photograph to get a digital image?
Hey Sanjeev - I guess it depends upon the equipment. I used to scan all of my paintings, but my scanner is showing its age, and the scans it produces are very poor. On the other hand I have a very nice digital SLR which takes amazing photos of our art, so now I use the camera exclusively. Neil
